Donovan Mitchell Wants To Discuss Critical Race Theory With Utah Lawmakers

Last week, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell appeared in a GQ Magazine story detailing how the NBA’s Social Justice Coalition has been working to start making an impact in Washington, D.C.In the story, Mitchell expressed his interest and says he would be willing to talk with Utah lawmakers about the teaching of critical race theory in schools. He said this because earlier this month, the Utah State Board of Education passed rules regarding which concepts of “diversity, equity and inclusion cannot be taught in schools.”

Mitchell says he’s going to continue advocating for critical race theory. He also says that being able to be on the phone with Utah lawmakers, means “being able to have and impact” himself.
