Facebook's new data center in Eagle Mountain is now live and serving traffic. The center is one of only 17 in the world that is helping to bring apps and services to people across the globe.Facebook says Utah is such a great place to do business because of its infrastructure, the talented pool of skilled workers and the community. Because of this, Facebook has plans to build more buildings in Utah — five total.
Facebook Utah Community Development Manager William Marks says the company is “really committed to the long term vitality of Eagle Mountain City and all of Utah County.”
The data center is operating on 100 percent renewable energy and will employ 200 people.
