On Sunday, the Navajo Nation reported 18 more COVID-19 cases, but no additional deaths for the eighth consecutive day.The additional cases increased the tribe's pandemic total to at least 31,635. The number of deaths related to COVID-19 remains at 1,377. Exact vaccination rates are unknown, but Forbes reported back in April the tribe was vaccinating its population faster than any state in the country.
The Navajo Nation reservation is home to the country’s largest tribe. The reservation is 27,000 square miles and it covers parts of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.
