The Utah unemployment rate has fallen to 2.1% as of November, a new record low for the state. Utah is well below the national rate at 4.2% and only Nebraska comes in lower at 1.8%.

Utah’s economy has grown in November despite the number of available workers decreasing. Economists said these may seem like contradictory forces but Utah is meeting the challenge so far.

Nongovernmental employment in Utah has the highest growth in the nation. Economists said this is a testament to Utah’s economic strength after the lows of 2020.
