Cox Signs Joint Letter To Biden On Border Crisis

Gov. Cox, along with 18 other Republican governors, signed a joint letter to President Biden requesting for him to  control the “crisis on the southern border.”The letter calls on Biden to take action “immediately.” The letter stated the crisis is too big to ignore because it’s beginning to spill over the border into U.S. states. Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services called many governors’ states to identify potential housing locations for migrants. In addition, private organizations and nonprofits were asked to house unaccompanied migrant children, according to the letter.

The letter stated the cause of the border crisis is entirely due to “reckless federal policy reversals” executed within Biden’s first 100 days in office. According to the letter, the last thing America needs is a “self-created crisis that exploits families, undermines public safety, and threatens our national security.”
