Logan Funeral Director Arrested For The Third Time

A Logan funeral director and owner of  Nyman Funeral Home has been arrested for the third time. Lonnie Nyman is accused of violating a protective order. The 44-year-old Millville man was booked into the Cache County Jail Wednesday night, a day after prosecutors filed a motion in court to have his bail revoked.

Court records show, Utah Attorney General assistant Ryan Holtan filed a motion in 3rd Judicial Court on Tuesday alleging that Nyman had attempted multiple times to contact a witness in one of his other cases and that “the defendant is a danger and risk to the public, as reflected by his ongoing and continued criminal conduct.”

Nyman has been charged with three new counts of violating a protective order, a class A misdemeanor. He is already facing 19 charges including sexual exploitation of a minor, pattern of unlawful activity, tampering with a witness, obstruction of justice and other offenses.

At 14-years-old, Kerry began working as a reporter for KVEL “The Hot One” in Vernal, Utah. Leaving UPR in 1993 she spent the next 14 years as the full time mother of four boys before returning in 2007. Kerry and her husband Boyd reside in Nibley.
