There’s a saying that there is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. Utah State University equine programs provide hands-on experiences and research opportunities for faculty and students, including those in the School of Veterinary Medicine, and the equine-assisted activities and therapies program combines caring for horses with caring for people.
Horses have innate qualities that make them unique therapeutic partners for children and adults with disabilities, people who have experienced emotional and physical trauma, military veterans and their families, and those working to overcome substance abuse.
