UPR Staff Members Coming To Moab And Blanding Next Week

Utah Public Radio staff members are traveling the state this summer to promote an exciting project called One Small Step. Utah Public Radio is one of six radio stations from across the country selected to participate in the initiative.

With One Small Step, we will record meaningful, respectful conversations between people who hold different political and cultural beliefs. We are seeking participants to join us. The point of these conversations is not to debate policy, change minds, or “talk politics.” The project’s goal is for folks to share personal stories that shaped their beliefs in the hope that they will simply learn more about their differences – and their similarities.

UPR Co-Station Manager Tom Williams and News Director Dani Hayes will be in Moab and Blanding next week and we would love to have you come and learn more about One Small Step and Utah Public Radio at a breakfast reception event from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31 at the USU-Moab Campus.

We also invite you to visit our website to learn more about the One Small Step project and to fill out a brief survey if you’re interested in being considered for an invitation to participate. UPR staff members will return to Moab and Blanding in a few weeks to conduct One Small Step recordings.

And thank you so much for your support of UPR!
