Utah Coronavirus Update, Friday, May 15

The Utah Department of Health announced 164 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday at 1 p.m., as most of Utah is beginning to transition into the “yellow” or low risk category of the pandemic mitigation efforts. To date, there have been 6,913 confirmed cases in the state out of the 163,218 tests conducted. An estimated 3,719 Utahns have recovered, and there have been 566 hospitalizations — an increase of eight since Thursday. A total of 77 Utahns have died due to the coronavirus.
