Utah Coronavirus Update- Wednesday, May 20

As of 1 p.m., the Utah Department of Health announced a total of 7,710 cases of the coronavirus in the state — an increase of 192 from Tuesday. Two people have died in this time, bringing the total deaths due to COVID-19 to 90 people. Of these deaths, 39 come from residents in long-term care facilities.

State epidemiologist Angela Dunn said there have been 109 long-term care facilities that have been impacted by COVID-19. Of the 7,710 positive cases in Utah, 214 are from residents of these care facilities and 195 are health care workers.
