State Epidemiologist Dr. Angela Dunn received her first dose of the COVID vaccine this week. In a video on Twitter, Dunn said she needed to be vaccinated so she can be a part of vaccinating others in the state.
Dunn said despite being vaccinated, she will continue to wear her mask and social distance—guidelines she said will be in effect until 70%-80% of the state is vaccinated. In the meantime, she encouraged those who can be vaccinated to take the step in order to protect the most vulnerable community members and help stop the spread of the virus.
