Sen. Mitt Romney says he supports the efforts of Republican Sen. Ron Johnson to read aloud on the Senate floor all 600-pages of the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package, according to the Deseret News. This could take as long as 10 hours.The Deseret News reports that Romeny told journalists in D.C. that while the plan has good objectives, it “massively misdirected.” One area that Romeny identified as excessive is the $350 in the bill earmarked for state governments. He says this is because many states saw their revenues increase and received reimbursement for COVID-19 expenses from previous legislation.
