Gov. Cox to meet with Davis school district over bullying problems

Governor Cox says he is interested in meeting with Davis County School District following a bullying incident that led to the suicide of North Salt Lake 10-year-old Isabella Tichenor. Cox says he wants to look into the district's handling of the bullying situation.

Izzy’s death has sparked conversations about the effects of bullying all over the state. Everyone from politicians to Utah Jazz players have spoken about the tragedy. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday.

The district’s statement says they responded to the bullying problems quickly, but Izzy’s family says they did nothing. A spokesperson for the governor says he will be meeting with Davis County along with other school districts.
