Proposed bill would require some minors to register as sex offenders

Utah Legislature
upr.org
The bill was proposed by Rep. Marsha Judkins for the current legislative session.

Minors who commit sex crimes in Utah are currently not required to register for the Utah Sex Offender Registry. H.B. 122, if approved in the upcoming legislative session, would change that. The bill would require some juveniles to comply with registry requirements, depending on the offense committed. The bill would also expand the list of crimes that could place a person on the registry to include human trafficking.
