Several Utah communities are stepping up to support the family whose food truck, World Famous Yum Yum Food Truck, was covered in racist vandalism earlier this week in Northern Utah. Among the top supporters is Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson who is helping pay for the truck’s new paint job.In addition, the Jazz have offered to sell the food truck’s food at home games next year and also gave the family six free tickets to the next playoff game against the L.A. Clippers, according to KUTV.
Ben Pierce, the owner of the food truck’s father, said new business opportunities are flooding in such as catering opportunities and other food truck spaces. Pierce said his family is very grateful for all the support and opportunity, but he wishes it didn’t take so much hurt for the opportunity to come their way.
