A 20-year-old Utah man accused in the shooting death of a man authorities say was a rival gang member has been charged with murder.
Kaden Michael Gilliatt was charged Wednesday. The station reports he was also charged with possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
Police found Jordan Moulton dead with a gunshot wound Aug. 26. Court records show he had been identified as a gang member.
Records state police interviewed a woman who dated Gilliatt last summer. She told police Gilliatt once saw her messaging Moulton on social media "and threatened to kill both" if he ever talked with Moulton again.
Records show Gilliatt called a woman while in jail and asked her "to be his alibi."
Records don't list an attorney for Gilliatt.
