Navajo Nation Reports No COVID Deaths For 10th Day In A Row

On Tuesday, the Navajo Nation reported no new deaths related to COVID-19 for the tenth consecutive day.According to the Associated Press, the tribe reported nine new coronavirus cases, but no deaths. In total, the Navajo Nation has reported 30,380 cases with the number of deaths remaining at 1,262. According to tribal health officials, more than 16,500 people have received from the virus so far. 

 

The tribe has been slowly easing into reopening. However, that slowed somewhat once coronavirus variants were confirmed to be on the reservation. Tribal officials are continuing to urge residents to remain careful.
