After attending a membership council in Kansas, Utah sex therapist Natasha Helfer was notifed she’s been excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints due to her statements that contradict the church’s teachings. Helfer posted a letter from the church on her Facebook page that explained her church membership records were officially removed. The letter said the council decided to withdraw her church membership “in response to conduct contrary to the law and order of the church.”
Helfer was excommunicated due to concern of her publicly expressed views on pornography, masturbation and same-sex marriage that go against the church’s teachings.
