Taylor Fang of Logan recently received the title of National Student Poet and will serve as a regional literary ambassador for the United States. National student poets are named through a program with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Only five students are selected from a pool of more than 20,000 applicants nationwide.
Logan City’s poet laureate Star Coulbrooke sat down with Taylor and asked her about her poetry and what lead to her being named a national student poet.
