USU first lady Camille Mortensen hosts beyond the book, quarterly book club with meaningful conversations on Monday November 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art on the USU campus in Logan. This month, read Stitched by Eli McCann.

Join Camille Mortensen for Beyond the Book, a quarterly book club where great books spark meaningful conversations and connection. Read the featured book beforehand, then gather in a fun, informal setting to explore timeless themes through discussion, art from the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, and insights from a guest expert.

This month, read Stitched by New York Times bestselling author Eli McCann. Stitched is set in Utah, telling the heart-warming story of two feuding quilting clubs from Cache Valley and Ogden.

Semester with the Odyssey is a book club of faculty, staff, students, and Community members — meeting Thursday November 5th at 5:30 p.m. in the Heravi Peace institute on the USU campus.

With the popularity of Christopher Nolan's film adaption, Homer's Odyssey has gained new popularity and controversy. This book club will bring together faculty, staff, students, and community members to read the original work and discuss its many themes and meanings. At the end of the semester, we will then hold a screening of the film to discuss the ways in which Homer's story continues to live and be adapted for new audiences.

Beyond the Book is a quarterly book club where books spark meaningful conversations and connections. The next gathering will take place at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum Of Art at 650 N 1100 E downtown Logan on November 10th from 6:30–8:00PM. Open to all, RSVP is required.
