The Brigham City Museum of Arts is accepting entries into its upcoming photography exhibition entitled "Development"

Theme: “Development”

“Art calls for complete mastery of techniques, developed by reflection within the soul.”

This open competition invites photographers to explore the various interpretations of the theme “Development.” Development is a process, and it is a skill to be nurtured. It may represent physical or digital techniques. It may be an exterior force or an internal reflection on where we have been, where we are, or where we are going. For some, it may be a combination of these things. It is up to the artist to find the development within their craft, and share it with the world through their photography in this special exhibition.

Sky View High School presents the musical "9 to 5" based on music by Dolly Parton, running from Thursday, November 12th through Monday the 16th at 7:00PM with an additional matinée on Saturday the 14th at 1:00PM. There will not be a showing on Sunday, November 15th.

It is located at 520 S 250 E, Smithfield. Based on the seminal 1980 movie set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.

Utah State University hosts a biology seminar series with a different speaker each Friday at 11:30 in the Life Sciences building room 207 through December 4th.

The Pie Lovers 5K Fun Run takes place in South Jordan on Saturday November 14th at 10:00 a.m. on the Riverfront Parkway.

Start your holiday preparations early with our first annual Pie Lovers 5K Fun Run!

Train for both your fitness goals and Thanksgiving dessert overconsumption by running 3.1 miles, then reward yourself with some delicious pie at the finish line.

The race is along the beautiful Jordan River Trail. This is a fun run, so there won’t be official finisher times — but we will award prizes to the top male and female finishers. Prizes will also be considered for the best pie related or Thanksgiving related attire.

Pie Eating Contest
For those who are really serious about pie, there will be a pie eating contest after the 5K (must be a race participant to enter). Spots will be limited, sign up will be available on race day.
