Parley’s Canyon Fire At 619 Acres, Evacuations Remain Through Tuesday

Firefighters continued fighting the Parley’s Canyon fire through Sunday. Recon mapping that reported at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday showed the fire to be 619 acres. The blaze is expected to be around 10 percent contained. Thousands of residents in different communities including Summit Park remain under evacuation order. Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez posted on Twitter that evacuation could remain through Tuesday morning. 

 

On Sunday, 120 firefighters, a few aircrafts and a dozen fire engines were on the scene fighting the fire. As of now, no structures have been lost in the fire.
