Fresh Folk- March 16

fresh folk burns and kristy

On the show this week, I feature the debut release from the vocally powerful duo Burns and Kristy, as well as the charmingly old-timey songs from Roy Schneider. I’ll also play songs from new albums by the Twangtown Paramours, Dwight Yoakam and Malcolm Holcombe, among other talented artists. Tune in and listen this Saturday at 8pm to Fresh Folk on Utah Public Radio.

There some great concerts happening around the state, including: blues artist Janiva Magness at the Egyptian Theater on March 30th, Matt Costa at Kilby Court on April 1st, Elephant Revival at the State Room on April 6th, Dan Bern at the Social Work Auditorium on April 10th, Joshua James at the Urban Lounge on April 19th, Rodriguez plays at the Depot on April 29th, and Todd Snider at the State Room on May 2nd.  In Logan, the great fiddler Natalie MacMaster plays at the Ellen Eccles Theater on March 20th, guitarist Keith Taylor plays at Crumb Brothers on March 23rd, and the legendary Bobby McFerrin performs March 26th and 27th at the Ellen Eccles Theater.
