Fresh Folk- April 26

On the show this week, I feature the tight harmony from the new band, The Amigos, and the latest from the 2-time Juno Award winner, Shari Ulrich. I’ll also play songs from new alums by C Daniel Boling, Katey Laurel, and Arthur Davenport, to name just a few. Tune in this Saturday, at 8pm, to Fresh Folk, on Utah Public Radio.

There are some great concerts happening around the state, and here’s a list of who’s playing when: Ingrid Michaelson with the Alternate Routes at the Great Saltair on April 29th, William Fitzsimmons and Ben Sollee at the State Room on May 13th, Nickel Creek at Kingsbury Hall on May 14th, Peter Rowan at the State Room on May 17th, bassist Victor Wooten at the State Room on June 1st, and the Milk Carton Kids on June 5th.  In Ogden, the Ogden Bluegrass and Acoustic Music Festival is set for May 30 through June 1 at Fort Buenaventura, with Delia Mae, The Steel Wheels, The Duhks and Alejandro Escovedo scheduled to perform.  In Logan, Karen Savoca and Pete Heitzman play at Stokes Nature Center on May 3rd.
