On the show this week, I feature the second album from the harmonious couple Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison, and the new release from the skilled band True North. I’ll also play songs from new discs from Neale Eckstein, Joe Henry, and Lou DeAdder, among other talented artists. Join me this Saturday at 8pm, for Fresh Folk, on Utah Public Radio.

The summer concert season is in full swing, and here’s a list of who’s playing when: The Punch Brothers at Deer Valley on July 6th, The Hold Steady at the Urban Lounge on July 14th, Mary Chapin Carpenter at Deer Valley on July 19th, James McMurtry at Snowbasin on July 20th, the Indigo Girls at Kenley Amphitheater on July 25th, and OK Go at the State Room on August 8th. In Logan, REO Speedwagon plays for the Cruise In on July 4th, and Rupert Wates does a show at Crumb Brothers on July 19th. Lastly, Red Butte Garden’s season includes:  Sarah McLachlan on July 1st, the Avett Brothers on July 9th, Bob Weir and Ratdog on July 10th, Tedeschi Trucks Band on July 22nd, Lyle Lovett on July 25th, Gary Clark Jr on July 27th, Taj Mahal and John Hiatt on August 3rd, Chris Isaak on August 5th, the John Butler Trio on August 6th, and Ray LaMontagne on August 8th
