"Play the Part" by Gina Barnett on Wednesday's Access Utah

McGraw Hill

Gina Barnett has coached C-suite executives and leaders worldwide from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, small businesses and non-profits. She has been speaker coach for TED TAlks for the past five years. In her new book, “Play the Part: Master Body Signals to Connect and Communicate for Business Success, Barnett is distinguished from other communication experts with her understanding of embodiment: how the body affects our thoughts and emotions and, in turn, how we engage and are perceived.

Barnett began her career on stage and has spent more than 30 years writing, coaching and ‘playing.’ Barnett says, “Great acting teachers spend their lives observing human beings and behaviors to impart to their students the tools to truthfully portray them. The Techniques actors use to usher audiences into imaginary worlds evolved for a primary purpose to emotionally move those audiences.”

Gina Barnett joins us on Access Utah today to discuss her new book, working with TED speakers and much more about the impacts of body language and signals.
