After filing government paperwork and months of waiting, Southern Utah University has officially trademarked itself as the University of the Parks.
The designation sets SUU apart and promotes a unique proposition for students interested in the outdoors and experiencing hands-on learning both inside and outside of the classroom, says SUU President Dr. Scott Wyatt.
“You see the great, beautiful parks and university and then realize that just a few feet away is some great hiking and biking. It’s just a stunning place,” said President Wyatt.
SUU Marketing further describes the school as a dynamic teaching and learning community where students, faculty and staff immerse themselves in, and are inspired by, the diverse and stunning natural landscape of southern Utah.
