Fifteen-year-old Boy In Critical Condition After ATV-Truck Collision West Of Cedar City

A fifteen-year-old boy is in critical condition after being transported by medical helicopter from the scene of an auto-ATV collision Monday night west of Cedar City.

The boy was driving an ATV on Lund Highway when he lost control and collided with a pick up truck traveling in the opposite direction.

When first responders reached the scene they found the boy partially pinned beneath the truck, and being attended to by the truck’s driver and other passers-by.  He was flown to Dixie Regional Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Lund Highway is a designated OHV route.  The boy was wearing a helmet, but investigators do believe that speed was a factor, and the incident remains under investigation.
