As spring semester approaches, Utah State University President Noelle Cockett urged university faculty and staff to get vaccinated as the vaccine becomes available to them.
In an email sent today, Cockett stated that “the benefits of getting a COVID-19 vaccine far outweigh the risks.” She also states that getting “campus community members vaccinated against COVID-19 is the fastest way to get back to in-person learning and regular campus activities.”
According to the email, the university hopes to reduce barriers to vaccinating students and employees by hostin vaccine clinics on USU campuses around the state.
The email also stated that those who can continue to work remotely through the next semester are to do so and those who work on campuses will need to continue to follow COVID-19 safety precautions.
