Officials in Salt Lake and Summit counties have lifted all evacuation orders following a soaking rain storm that weakened the Parleys Canyon fire.Residents in Timberline, Lamb’s Canyon and Summit Park were let back into their homes around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Most were told they would remain under evacuation until at least Thursday night.
Fire information officer Nick Howell says the rain may put out the fire in some areas, but heavily timbered areas are going to require more work. The latest update from fire maps show the fire has burned over 540 acres and is 40% contained.
More rain is expected along the Wasatch Front on Wednesday.
