Man Drives 100mph Over Arizona State Line, Refuses To Pull Over For Law Enforcement

On Thursday, criminal charges were filed against a man who drove over 100 miles per hour to cross the state line into Arizona after refusing to pull over for law enforcement.

The incident happened about 9:30 Saturday evening in Kane County when a deputy spotted the truck speeding on U.S. 89.  As the deputy pursued with lights and siren, the truck continued to increase in speed until finally pulling over three miles later in Arizona.

Christopher Michael Reed, 39, reportedly appeared to be “shocked” when told he would be booked into jail in Utah. Reed is charged with failing to stop at the command of police, speeding and DUI and reckless driving.

A breath test measured Reed’s blood-alcohol level at nearly point-two percent, which is almost four times the legal limit in Utah
