Utah Firefighters Return Home From California

Utah Task Force 2 returned home Saturday to reunite with their families. Twenty-one firefighters returned from Northern California, where they were helping fight the Dixie Fire. They had left Utah in August to provide assistance.

Public information officer with United Fire Authority Ryan Love says he’s grateful to all of the firefighters' wives and children for allowing them to help California in such a large capacity. Love says their work was greatly appreciated.

As of Saturday, the Dixie Fire has burned over 950,000 acres since it first ignited in July. The fire is currently 62% contained.
