On Monday, the Utah State Flag Task Force proposed a timeline for Utah’s new flag design. Public outreach for the campaign will begin in January 2022, and Utahns will have the opportunity to submit ideas and designs through April 30th.
A committee made up of artists, historians, and representatives of diverse cultures will review the design ideas and select finalists by August. After a period of public comment, the task force will submit the final flag design for legislative approval by Fall 2022.
