Kurt Bestor is a Utah-based composer and performer, known for his Christmas concerts, his film and television scores, and his haunting musical prayer for peace “Prayer of the Children.” He will be leading performances of “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” in Logan on May 21 and 22.

He’ll join us in the first half of the program to talk about this production, about returning to live performances, lessons learned during the pandemic, and what the arts and gathering together mean to us. Tickets information at www.cachearts.org

In a ceremony last week, Cache Valley resident Jan Benson presented to the state of Utah the 45-star flag that flew over the United States Capitol when Utah became a state in 1896. The flag will be displayed on the first floor of the Capitol, near the Hall of the Governors. In the second half today Jan Benson will join us to talk about some of the history of this flag and what it has meant to his family.
