USU’s Nora Eccles Harrison Museum hosted an open panel discussion this month about the “Facing Fire” exhibit and the many impacts of fire on art and our landscapes.

USU is hosting a panel on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. for the “Facing Fire” exhibit that is taking place at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum through Dec. 16. Artists, policymakers and a firefighter will be featured panelists.

In other news: Utah’s new Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust is now starting to release up to $10 million in grant funds for projects to protect or restore wetlands and habitats of the lake.

A dozen Great Salt Lake-themed paintings are now on display across a four-block stretch of downtown Salt Lake City. They are the latest subject of a revolving public art exhibit created by the art and culture nonprofit Craft Lake City.
