Weber State University is adopting a new tuition schedule that’s cheaper for those pursuing an associate degree. President Brad Mortensen says: “We’re trying to do what’s right by the students.”

Tuition will increase at all public colleges and universities in the state for fall 2025, but the increases are lower than last year and lower than the annual inflation rate.

In an effort to bring some relief to students struggling financially, Gov. Spencer Cox proposed the idea to freeze college tuition throughout Utah.
