Family Worries As Shelter Strained By Virus Outbreak

The day before Thanksgiving, 32-year-old Jessica Green didn’t know where she, her husband and their two little boys would be sleeping that night. No longer could they afford the two-bed motel room she said they had been paying about $1,100 a month for. The Deseret News reports her husband Blake Jackson was laid off from his job as a Salt Lake City restaurant manager because of the havoc the pandemic reaped on the industry. But they're worried about staying at a shelter because of a coronavirus outbreak there. Their struggles come as the virus continues to wreak havoc on the medical and economic health of the country.
