Host Laura Gelfand is joined by Darren Parry, the former chairman of the Northwest Band of the Shoshone Nation. Darren Parry shares how he learned of plants and plant based eating from his grandmother who was their tribal elder, storyteller, and knowledge holder within the tribe.

After retiring from teaching art history at USU, my husband, dog, and I moved to York, England where we are enjoying everything about the food and culture. As the foreign correspondent for Eating The Past, I’ll be reporting on the weirdest and most wonderful aspects of cuisine in the UK. Listers will learn about the quirkiest, quaintest and most curious aspects of eating in England and elsewhere.
