Climate And Comedy With Stand-Up Economist Yoram Bauman On Wednesday's Access Utah

Webster University

Yoram Bauman is the world’s first and only stand-up economist. He is co-author of the “Cartoon Introduction to Climate Change” and the two volume “Cartoon Introduction to Economics,” and the 1998 book “Tax Shift,” which helped inspire the revenue-neutral carbon tax in British Columbia. He is campaign co-chair for the new Clean the Darn Air initiative, which supporters are working to get on the ballot in Utah in 2020.

Yoram Bauman lives in Salt Lake City and takes his comedy act to colleges and universities around the world. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Washington.

He’ll be giving a presentation “Comedy, Economics, and Climate Change” for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Brunner Hall (200 West Center Street in Logan). The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

He’ll also be presenting to the Cache Chamber of Commerce at a breakfast meeting on Thursday. That event is also free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
