Preservation Utah seeks volunteers for bringing neighborhood history to life during the Poplar Grove Historic Homes Tour, which will be on October 17th. Volunteers will be assigned a building and provided a short script to learn, and will receive a ticket to the event.

Volunteers will provide the historical and educational information from the script about various aspects of their assigned building to the public.

Each Spring and Fall we choose different neighborhoods to highlight the history and community that built them. The Homes Tour celebrates that history by highlighting a handful of homes and sharing their stories with the public.

Volunteer shifts are 2-2.5 hours long. 2 for a docent and 2.5 for a house manager. Everyone who volunteers will get a ticket to the event. Everyone who volunteers will get a ticket to the event.

The Brigham City Museum of Arts is accepting entries into its upcoming photography exhibition entitled "Development"

Theme: “Development”

“Art calls for complete mastery of techniques, developed by reflection within the soul.”

This open competition invites photographers to explore the various interpretations of the theme “Development.” Development is a process, and it is a skill to be nurtured. It may represent physical or digital techniques. It may be an exterior force or an internal reflection on where we have been, where we are, or where we are going. For some, it may be a combination of these things. It is up to the artist to find the development within their craft, and share it with the world through their photography in this special exhibition.

Midway Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Midway Town Square in Heber City from June through October. Local farmers and artisans will be on site with their goods.

The public is invited to the USU anthropology Museum on Saturday, October 10th for this school year's first Saturday at the Museum, all about Egyptian mummies, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Learn all about Egyptian mummies and take a look at our new mummy exhibit (complete with a real life canid mummy!). Dress up is encouraged.

For decades, Best Friends Animal Society’s annual dog walk and community festival has been bringing people together to save the lives of homeless pets across the country. This year, it’s back for good, and we hope to see you there. Mark your calendar!

Every dollar raised from Strut Your Mutt goes directly to help save dogs and cats in communities throughout the U.S.
Since every Strut Your Mutt participant chooses to support and raise funds for either Best Friends or their favorite participating animal welfare organization, so many animals are helped at shelters and rescue groups across the country. 
All money raised from Strut Your Mutt has been used to save homeless pets in our communities through spay/neuter programs, adoption events, foster programs, veterinary care, lifesaving transports, and other activities.

Capitol Reef Farmers' Market is open on Saturdays through October 17th from 3PM-5PM. Located at 100 N 75 E Torrey, Utah. Operating during the growing season, the market provides a platform for local farmers, gardeners, and craftspeople to sell their goods directly to residents and visitors. Vendors typically offer fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, honey, baked goods, and handcrafted items that reflect the region's agricultural heritage.
