The Brigham City Library Humanities Book Group will meet to discuss “The Sound of Mountain Water” by Wallace Stegner on Thursday, 17 Sept 2026 at 7 p.m. Kathryn Mackay, PhD, Weber State University, will lead the discussion. Copies of the book may be picked up at the circulation desk of the Brigham City Library, 26 E. Forest Street, while supplies last. The discussion will take place live at the Brigham City Library. Luminous Ecologies by Meredith Connelly will transform the plaza into an immersive environment of light, movement, and interconnected life systems. Featuring the illuminated installations Water, Mushrooms, and Snails, the exhibition explores ecology, mythology, and the delicate relationships that sustain the natural world.

Through sculptural forms and shifting light, Connelly invites viewers to reflect on water as a life-giving force, the hidden intelligence of fungi, and the quiet organisms that maintain ecological balance all around us.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival presents "Something Rotten!" playing on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., and Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2:00 p.m in August, September, and October in the Randall L. Jones Theatre in Cedar City.

Something Rotten! is a hilarious, high-energy musical that reimagines Shakespeare’s world with a modern twist. Set in the Renaissance, it follows struggling playwrights Nick and Nigel Bottom, who try to outshine wildly popular William Shakespeare by creating the world’s first musical. Packed with show-stopping numbers, outrageous comedy, and clever nods to Broadway and the Bard, Something Rotten! is a joyful celebration of creativity, ambition, and the absurdity of the theatre world.

The Utah Symphony will be holding a concert on Thursday September 17th at 8:00 p.m. in the Daines Concert Hall.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival presents Mary Shelly's Frankenstein playing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in September and October at the Anes Studio Theatre in Cedar City. Showtimes are at 8:00 p.m. with 2:00 p.m. matinees on Fridays.

Odyssey Dance Theatre presents Thriller at the Ellen Eccles Theater on Friday and Saturday September 18th & 19th at 7:30 p.m. with a 2:00 matinee on Saturday.

If Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller isn't part of your yearly Halloween tradition, it should be. The spooky spectacular combines technical aspects of dance while paying homage to the stars of All Hallows' Eve. Throughout the two hour program, Thriller highlights all the heroes of the season, including Frankenstein's monster and his bride, skeletons and mummies.

The 2026 season of Cinema Under the Stars is set to return to Laub Plaza in downtown Logan, offering a series of free, family-friendly evenings for the Logan community. Neighbors and visitors are invited to gather at 55 North Main every other Friday for hit movies, free popcorn, and community connection.

Designed as a welcoming space for all ages, the event transforms the plaza into an open-air theater. This season's lineup features a variety of beloved stories, from the superhero antics of The Incredibles to the magical family dynamics of Encanto and the colorful celebration of Coco.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite blankets and low-back chairs to settle in for the show. Each screening begins at 8:00 PM, providing a perfect way for families to kick off their weekends together in the heart of downtown Logan.
