The Cache Valley Gardener's Market will be open on Saturdays from 9AM-1PM at the historic courthouse in downtown Logan 199 North Main Street.
The market runs through October 17th and showcases locally homegrown produce, fine arts, handmade crafts and live music performances.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Utah would like to invite the public to join the Warm Welcome Winter Clothing Drive through October 17th. Volunteer opportunities are available. Donations can be shipped or dropped off to the office in West Valley City.

By donating clean, new or like-new winter clothing, you are supporting newly arrived refugee families as they work hard to achieve self-sufficiency in their new home.

We will be accepting winter clothing donations such as
- Coats and jackets
- Winter boots
- Hats
- Waterproof gloves

Donations are accepted from September 1 through October 16. Items must be in new or like-new condition. We can accept all sizes, but our highest need for coats and jackets is adult sizes. We may also accept other items, like scarves, wool socks, and store gift cards.

You can order donations to ship directly to us, or sign up to drop them off at our office in West Valley City. Our staff members can offer you a tax-deductible donation receipt upon request.

You can also help out by volunteering during our distribution weekend! Volunteers are needed to sort and set up donations, help our clients shop for items, and clean up after the drive is over. Volunteer opportunities are available October 15, 16, and 17.

The Brigham City Museum of Arts is accepting entries into its upcoming photography exhibition entitled "Development"

Theme: “Development”

“Art calls for complete mastery of techniques, developed by reflection within the soul.”

This open competition invites photographers to explore the various interpretations of the theme “Development.” Development is a process, and it is a skill to be nurtured. It may represent physical or digital techniques. It may be an exterior force or an internal reflection on where we have been, where we are, or where we are going. For some, it may be a combination of these things. It is up to the artist to find the development within their craft, and share it with the world through their photography in this special exhibition.

The Indigenous Art Market & Festival will be at the Natural History Museum of Utah October 10–11, 2026.

Mark your calendars! The Indigenous Art Market & Festival will return to NHMU October 10–11, 2026. Visitors are invited to explore and purchase one-of-a-kind works—from intricate beadwork and handwoven textiles to masterfully crafted pottery, jewelry, and paintings. But this event is more than a market; it’s a chance to connect with living traditions, to hear directly from artists who are not only creating breathtaking art but also preserving and passing on cultural knowledge.

Midway Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Midway Town Square in Heber City from June through October. Local farmers and artisans will be on site with their goods.

The Washington County Historical Society is offering five walking tours of the St. George Historic District on Saturdays during the month of October and the first week of November and one tour of the pioneer section of the St. George City Cemetery in mid November. All six tours are free and open to the public. The tourist begin at 10:00 a.m.

“Participants on each of the walking tours in the Historic District will gain insights into how these early pioneers lived and how they were able to build such fine homes and public buildings while living in a mostly barter-based economy and learn how they died. On the cemetery tour, participants will learn about the life stories of notable or everyday people buried on the grounds, and past cultural traditions, according to Loren Webb, Washington County Historical Society walking tour coordinator.
The tours are as follows:
Saturday, Oct. 10, Green Gate Village Block Walking Tour, 10 a.m. led by Susan Crook. Participants will meet in the plaza area directly west of Judd's Store. Parking would be in the LDS Tabernacle parking lot. Participants will need to use the crossing walk next to Judd's Store or use the Main Street crossing walk.

Saturday, Oct. 17, Town Square Block Walking Tour, 10 a.m. led by Tom McArthur. Participants will meet on the east side of the Town Square tower just north of the Children's Museum and south of the LDS Tabernacle. Parking would be in the LDS Tabernacle parking lot.

Saturday, Oct. 24, Pioneer Courthouse Block Walking Tour, 10 a.m. led by Jim McArthur. Parking will be in the Pioneer Square parking lot (the parking lot for the Pioneer Courthouse and the DUP Museum).

Saturday, Oct. 31, Ancestor Square Block Walking Tour, 10 a.m. led by Loren Webb. Participants will meet next to the fire engine in front of Summit Sotheby’s International Real Estate, 151 North Main Street. Parking will be in the Ancestor Square parking lot, accessible off Main Street and 200 North.

Saturday, Nov. 7, Hope Hill Historic District Walking Tour. Participants will meet at Brooks Nature Park, 452 N. Main. The tour will be led by Sharla Brooks Moody.

Saturday, Nov. 14, St. George City Cemetery, Pioneer Section Walking Tour, 10 a.m., led by LaRee Jones. Meet at Sexton’s Shed, north center section of the cemetery.

the 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:30 PM in Community Room B is a fun and friendly ukulele jam led by Sue Jelus! Bring your ukulele and a pencil, and get ready to play along with fellow music lovers. Other instruments are welcome, too. This program is designed for adults, but children ages 10 and up may attend with a guardian.

Capitol Reef Farmers' Market is open on Saturdays through October 17th from 3PM-5PM. Located at 100 N 75 E Torrey, Utah. Operating during the growing season, the market provides a platform for local farmers, gardeners, and craftspeople to sell their goods directly to residents and visitors. Vendors typically offer fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, honey, baked goods, and handcrafted items that reflect the region's agricultural heritage.

To kill a mockingbird is playing in the Parker theater in South Salt Lake on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 3:30 p.m.
